  2. London was built by the troops of Emperor Claudius as track fortification outpost in 43 BC. Before this event on the spot of London was a settlement, but information about it hasn't been preserved.
    The first mention of Moscow dates back to 1147, which is considered the date of its foundation. When Yuri Dolgoruky discovered Moscow, there had already been a rather large settlement of the people.
