Education in the 21st Century

Comments

  1. Today's students are using digital 3D worlds to solve complex problems in several disciplines, and even going to almost virtually in the audience. It's undeniable: we are moving to the adoption of virtual learning environments across a wide range of new initiatives in the field of education. Technology is so developed that now you don't have to read all the information in books.According to the presentation there were the words :"someone in one time and place can tell a story to someone in the different time and place" But nowadays we can find the ancient facts simply surfing the internet.

  2. Nowadays we have a lot different ways and great opportunities to study. In my opinion, with a such variety of colorful books, web sites and TV programs about our world, people can be trained to themself.

  3. Thanks for this presentation! I don't know who did it, but I really like it! The author managed to tell us about such an important problem as an education in cheerful, funny and humorous way) But I noticed that in the second part of it he wrote seriously about problems in many countries. Everybody wants to change the way of life, the education, etc. But nobody wants to do smth for it! they just say "Oh, we don't like it! The Government is guilty" and do nothing.

Also I like the expression that " many graduated, few educated'. Unfortunately, it's really so nowadays, because not every student understands the purpose of education. Some of them just want to get a degree. But degree not always means that you are educated. There are some famous people who have no diploma, but they are really clever) so, the most important thing is to work hard and then you'll definitely be successful :)

  4. Nowadays our technologies allow us to study in the network. It calls the distance learning. This way of education has many advantages and disadvantages.
    + :
    1. Individual speed of studying.
    2. The employment of modern technologies.
    3. The pupil can distribute his time.
    4. A possibility of saving of financial resources (you don't need to buy lots of books - you can just download it)
    - :
    1. The absence of communication with teacher and classmates.
    2. The lack of practical lessons.
    3. There isn't any control under the student.
    4. You must have hard self-discipline for success.

The distance learning isn't for me, unfortunately... Because I can't control myself ;( And also I like to connect with people. That is way I prefer to go to the university even in 21st century))

  5. Yes, this presentation is really nice and there are accurately noted ideas. Truly, we have now lots of possibilities to study abd teach, we have Internet with almost all necessary information,we have libraries with books of different times, we have technologies for recording materials and listening to them. But the fact is that nowadays there are less and less people who WANT to study, who want to have real knowledge, who are interested in educating.
Moreover, just a half a century ago the profession of teacher was one of the most respectable. What about now? How much are teachers paid for their job?

Where is this place?

He always starts his work at 9 am. Он всегда начинает работать в 9 утра. He still has a lot of work to do. У него до сих пор очень много работы, которую надо сделать. Профессия, офис, оплачиваемый функционал В контексте разговора о какой-то оплачиваемой функции, месте куда необходимо прибыть для осуществления труда или профессии используется термин job [dʒɒb]. Например: I love my job. Я люблю свою работу. My job is interesting....
